American comedy-drama series, Russian Doll Season 2, is making up to release on Netflix. The series is created by Natasha Lyonne, Leslye Headland, and Amy Poehler. After getting several nominations and praise, Netflix renewed the show for its second season in 2019, three months after its release date.

The second season will comprise eight episodes. Here are the latest updates on Russian Doll Season 2.

Release Date & Storyline:

Unfortunately, makers have confirmed no official date of its release. The production of season 1 began in 2018 and dropped in February 2019. But with season 2, the producers complicated the release date without sharing the details of the film. Also, with the ongoing pandemic, we do not expect the production of the film to begin. Therefore, fans can expect the release of the web-series in mid-2021.

Though season 2 cast not yet confirmed. But we bet Natasha Lyonne will reprise her role of Nadia Vulvokov once again. She also shared the news of joining season 2 on her twitter handle. Along with Charlie, Barnett will return as Alan Zaveri.

There is not much revealed about the upcoming season. But showrunner Lyonne promised her fans in an interview that the show will be the same, “Just weirder.” That means the second season storyline will take-off from where season 1 ended.

No, the trailer of season 2 is launched yet. Last year, the Russian doll twitter handle shared the second season launch with a small video. The Russian Doll Season 2 production has to begin in May this year, and we were expecting the trailer to drop till the end of the year. But as COVID-19 worsened the situation of the filming of various shows, we do not expect the trailer to drop soon.
