McMafia is a series of crime dramas that first premiered on 1 January 2018, BBC One, UK, and then AMC on 26 February 2018. A book of the same name inspires the series. The book was published by the writer Misha Glenny in 2008.
The show co-produced by Cuba Pictures, AMC, and BBC sheds light on international criminals, underworld dons, and how states, intelligence agencies, legislation, and finance are exploited. ‘McMafia’ has also influenced and modified UK law and legislation; a new law has been drawn up that allows the taking of foreign assets if an individual is unable to show that he has legally acquired the asset.
Of course, despite the nature of the subject, the show enjoys immense popularity. Critics have praised the series for its strength and the universal openness and awareness of criminal circles by this film.

Mcmafia Season 2 Storyline Details:
McMafia is based on journalist Misha Glenny’s non-fiction book of the same name. Glenny talks about the growth of organized crime in the 1980s and 1990s and from its bleak origins to an increasingly corporate front-line globalized phenomenon.
Throughout his novel, Glenny explored organized crime globally through a series of detailed interviews with individuals at all levels – from the perpetrators to the victims and the intermediaries within the hierarchical hierarchy. The first season ended with Alex brokering a huge sum to flood European markets with cocaine after he pitched his proposal impressively.
He will follow the second round as he grows through the ranks of European Mafia bosses into an influential figure in the world of organized crime. But if the writers want to explore another dimension of Mafia’s modern face or present a new chapter in Glenny’s book, then the audience may have a whole new story.
