On Thursday, the 69th National Film Awards were revealed, and Tollywood actor Allu Arjun took home the Best Actor prize for his work in Pushpa.
The National Film Awards were announced today in Delhi, and they were given to the films that had been censored or released in 2021 that had the greatest cinematography, acting performances, and technicians.
The prizes for the films coming out in 2021 were not announced because of covid. Now, only films that year’s release were eligible for the prizes.
At a press conference held by the Jury on Thursday at the National Media Centre in New Delhi, the 69th National Film Awards were revealed.
Anurag Thakur, the Union I&B Minister, received the list of winners for the feature, non-feature, and best writing categories from the National Film Awards jury members.
Every year, the National Film Awards serve as a symbol of honour for Indian cinema. The Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting’s Directorate of Film Festivals oversees the organisation of the National Film Awards.
They honour films for their outstanding aesthetic and technical qualities as well as their social importance, demonstrating the potential of film as a medium for both art and impact.
In total, 280 films in 28 different languages were submitted for the 2021 awards. There are 24 non-feature film categories, 31 for features, and 3 for screenplays about films.

The 69th National Film Awards were presented at a lavish ceremony, and the winners were announced. For his role in the movie Pushpa, Allu Arjun received the Best Actor Award, and Alia Bhatt and Kriti Sanon both received the Best Actress Award for their respective roles in Gangubai Kathiawadia and Mimi.
The Nambi Effect received the Best Feature Film Award. The Nargis Dutt Award for Best Film on National Integration went to The Kashmir Files.
