Justin Timberlake has no interest in publicly congratulating ex-girlfriend Britney Spears on her baby news.
Slave 4 U singer Britney announced this week that she is expecting her first child with fiancé Sam Asghari; She is also the mother of sons Sean, 16, and Jayden, 15, from her previous marriage to dancer Kevin Federline.
Surprisingly, Kevin issued a statement offering his good wishes to Britney, 40, and Sam, 28, on their exciting news, but it seems their other famous ex wasn’t in the same mood.
Justin, 41, was seen in a video clip circulating on social media walking to a private screening at a building in Beverly Hills, California on Monday. He and a friend were spotted by a paparazzi walking down the street next to a friend when asked for his opinion on Britney’s pregnancy.
The man was barely able to finish his question, however, when Justin immediately turned him off, brushing the videographer away with his hand and saying, “Stop! Go away.’
After walking up the stairs silently but clearly annoyed, he complained to his friend: “[He] made me stamp my feet.’
Of course, Justin and Britney were known to be dating in the early noughties and became pop music lovers from 1999 to 2002.
Their former relationship recently came back into the spotlight almost 20 years later after the airing of the documentary Framing Britney Spears, which recounted how the pop star faced misogyny and sexism following their split.
In an interview at the time, Justin reportedly suggested that Britney cheated on him, causing the breakup that led to her being blamed for the demise of their relationship.
Amid renewed backlash, former NSYNC singer Justin issued a public apology to Britney, stating: “I understand that in these moments and many others I have come up short and benefited from a system that condones misogyny and racism.
“I want to express my sincere apologies to Britney Spears and Janet Jackson because I care and respect these women and I know I failed.”
After dating Britney, Justin married The Sinner actress Jessica Biel and they share two children.
